Zack Snyder didn\u2019t let Batman Day go by without his Batman.<\/p>\n

The director posted Ben Affleck\u2019s Dark Knight from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on Instagram Saturday, set to Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL\u2019s \u201cBeautiful Lie\u201d \u2014 the track that opens the movie and currently a trending audio on Instagram with thousands of reels using it.<\/p>\n

It comes on a Batman Day that also put Batman on top of the Sydney Opera House<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The post quickly racked up nearly 10,000 likes, hundreds of comments, and over 600 reposts.<\/p>\n

The comments went exactly where you\u2019d expect.<\/p>\n

\u201cBRING HIM BACK!!!!\u201d reads one of the top replies. \u201cJustice League 2 and 3. Get on it Zack!!!\u201d says another, one of the most-liked comments on the post.<\/p>\n

More fans chimed in with \u201cBest Batman ever, nothing compares!\u201d and \u201cWas looking forward to this! The greatest Batman!\u201d while another wrote, \u201cPeople say he was dark. I say he wasn\u2019t dark enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

In August, those insiders said Snyder\u2019s The Dark Knight Returns is ready to go<\/a> and already storyboarded<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In September, they added Snyder is \u201cwell prepared for a Dark Knight film,\u201d with the SnyderVerse returning<\/a> side by side with Matt Reeves\u2019 Batman universe \u2014 and Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill part of the plan. The receipts go back months<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And Snyder himself just called The Dark Knight Returns \u201ca holy grail\u201d<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n

The Merger Could Be Settled This Weekend<\/p>\n

The one thing standing in the way is the lawsuit.<\/p>\n

California and 11 other states sued in July to block the $111 billion Paramount-Warner Bros. merger, arguing the combined studio would be too big.<\/p>\n

Reuters reported Friday<\/a> the two sides could settle as soon as this weekend, with terms on the table including independent monitoring of CNN and a commitment on how many movies the studio puts in theaters each year.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a reason to move fast: if the deal isn\u2019t closed by September 30, Paramount owes Warner Bros. shareholders $7 million a day until it is.<\/p>\n

Paramount has already told the court the merger is ready to close<\/a> the moment the lawsuit is out of the way, and our sources have said all along nothing gets announced until the deal is done.<\/p>\n

Settle it this weekend, and Batfleck on Batman Day starts looking less like nostalgia and more like a preview.<\/p>\n
