From PERRYSBURG SCULPTURE WALK<\/p>\n

Music, artmaking, sculpture awards, and a curator-led tour marked the Labor Day opening of the Sixth Annual Perrysburg Sculpture Walk at Woodlands Park.<\/p>\n

Children created their own sculpture inspired by works in the new exhibit, while Hepcat Revival entertained the crowd with a concert. Area artists were among those attending the celebration, which concluded with a tour led by Sculpture Walk curator and coordinator Robin Ballmer.<\/p>\n

Six juried sculpture awards selected by exhibition judges Julia LaBay and Tom Zitzelberger were announced during the program.<\/p>\n

The 2027-27 award recipients were:<\/p>\n

Best of Show: \u201cShe Came to Me in Spring\u201d by J. Aaron Alderman<\/p>\n

First Place: \u201cThe Daydreamer\u201d by Eoin Cullen<\/p>\n

Second Place: \u201cAlbers\u201d by Ray Katz<\/p>\n

Honorable Mention: \u201cObserver\u201d by George Farbotko<\/p>\n

Honorable Mention: \u201cDarling Lily\u201d by Pam Reithmeier<\/p>\n

Honorable Mention: \u201cLeak\u201d by Todd Kime<\/p>\n

\"\"\u201cShe Came to Me in Spring\u201d won Best of Show at the Perrysburg Sculpture Walk<\/p>\n

Perrysburg Mayor Mark Weber independently selected \u201cObserver\u201d by George Farbotko for the Mayor\u2019s Award and presented the award to Farbotko during the opening. Because it was selected separately from the juried awards, \u201cObserver\u201d received both a juried Honorable Mention and the Mayor\u2019s Award.<\/p>\n

Farbotko and Pam Reithmeier attended the opening. Weber also presented Reithmeier with the Honorable Mention award for \u201cDarling Lily.\u201d The remaining recipients live outside Ohio and were unable to attend.<\/p>\n

The Sixth Annual Perrysburg Sculpture Walk features a new collection of 13 works by artists representing five states. The sculptures are displayed along the perimeter and entryway of Woodlands Park, 429 E. Boundary St.<\/a>, Perrysburg.<\/p>\n

The Perrysburg Sculpture Walk is presented with support from the city of Perrysburg and Experience Perrysburg. Individual sculpture sponsors include Rich and Carla Brundrett; Levis Commons Town Center; Gregory Fess, Esq.; Southeastern Equipment Company; Sylvania Graphics; Skotynsky Financial Group with a memorial sponsorship in honor of the Himelhoch Sisters.<\/p>\n
