ORLANDO, Fla. \u2014 WRDQ-TV 27 is getting a new name.<\/p>\n

Cox Media Group Orlando announced Monday that the station will become MagicTV 27, expanding its focus on local sports, entertainment and Channel 9 Eyewitness News programming.<\/p>\n

The rebrand follows CMG Orlando\u2019s multi-year broadcast agreement with the Orlando Magic, which made WRDQ-TV 27 and WFTV Channel 9 the team\u2019s exclusive local broadcast partners.<\/p>\n

What will air on MagicTV 27<\/p>\n

MagicTV 27 will carry 77 Orlando Magic regular-season games this season.<\/p>\n

The station will also air home games from the Osceola Magic and Orlando Solar Bears, along with Channel 9 Eyewitness News weekday mornings from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. and nightly at 10 p.m.<\/p>\n

Syndicated programming, including \u201cFamily Feud,\u201d will remain part of the lineup.<\/p>\n

How to watch<\/p>\n

Programming will continue to be available free over the air and through cable, satellite, streaming MVPDs and other platforms that already carry the station.<\/p>\n

\u201cMagicTV 27 represents much more than a new name,\u201d Darren Moore, senior vice president and general manager of CMG Orlando TV, said. \u201cIt reflects our commitment to delivering premium sports and entertainment programming that is accessible to everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

The MagicTV 27 branding will roll out across on-air graphics, digital platforms, promotions and community outreach.<\/p>\n
