An Aston Villa academy product, he also played 17 times for Wolves and had loan spells with Ipswich Town, Bradford City, Oxford United and Fulham.<\/p>\n
In total, he has made 188 career appearances but has not played since leaving Leyton Orient in 2025.<\/p>\n
“His family are incredibly grateful for the care he is receiving,” the PFA statement added.<\/p>\n
“They respectfully ask for privacy and that people refrain from contacting them directly while they focus entirely on Jordan and his recovery.<\/p>\n
“Further information will only be provided when appropriate.”<\/p>\n
A statement from Gillingham said: “Everyone at the club is thinking of Jordan and his family at this time.<\/p>\n
“We wish him a full and swift recovery.”<\/p>\n
