The Traitors Ireland is down to its final four after a tied Round Table brought a dramatic penultimate episode to a close.<\/p>\n

***Spoiler alert: This article contains details from the penultimate episode of The Traitors Ireland.***<\/p>\n

\nSiobh\u00e1n McSweeney give the players a chance to win \u20ac6000 and a chance for there to be no murder during Monday’s penultimate episode<\/p>\n

Kayleigh is murdered<\/p>\n

After Ian\u2019s banishment, Pauric and Pete were first into breakfast, where suspicion quickly turned to Anna over her decision to take \u20ac2,000 during the previous day\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n

Pete defended her, saying: “I don\u2019t think Anna is a Traitor.”<\/p>\n

Diego, meanwhile, returned to his suspicions about Carla, particularly Aoife\u2019s departure from the game, when she wrote Carla\u2019s name on her slate before leaving.<\/p>\n

\"Kayleigh
\nKayleigh came so close to reaching the final<\/p>\n

Then Anna walked through the door, meaning Kayleigh had been murdered.<\/p>\n

“The majority of people assumed that I was getting murdered last night,” Anna said. “So when I walked in and it wasn\u2019t Kayleigh, it was complete and utter shock.”<\/p>\n

Kayleigh was less than impressed to discover her fate.<\/p>\n

“Absolutely raging,” she said.<\/p>\n

“Will I be proud of myself or happy with myself with the game that I played? No. Because I didn\u2019t win, so I won\u2019t be.”<\/p>\n

Back in the Conclave, Carla and Pauric revealed that Kayleigh had begun bringing heat towards both of them.<\/p>\n

Carla\u2019s verdict was blunt: “Murder, gone. Goodnight, o\u00edche mhait, God bless, see you.”<\/p>\n

Battle lines are drawn<\/p>\n

With five players left, the game began to split into camps.<\/p>\n

Anna told Pete she was convinced she knew the identity of the two remaining Traitors.<\/p>\n

“It is 100 million trillion per cent Pauric and Carla,” she said.<\/p>\n

\nAnna is coming for Carla<\/p>\n

Pete was also focused on Carla, while Diego appeared likely to prove crucial to the next vote.<\/p>\n

Carla and Pauric, meanwhile, continued to raise suspicions about Anna.<\/p>\n

Pauric appeared confident about where the game was heading.<\/p>\n

“I have my plan in place. I think I\u2019ve all my pawns in the right order,” he said.<\/p>\n

No murder before the final<\/p>\n

For the penultimate mission, Siobh\u00e1n McSweeney sent the players into Ravensdale Forest, where they had the chance to add \u20ac6,000 to the prize pot and prevent another murder.<\/p>\n

They recovered 25 of 30 relics, adding \u20ac5,000 and bringing the pot to \u20ac35,850.<\/p>\n

More importantly, they managed to refill a drained well within the allotted time, meaning nobody would be murdered before the final.<\/p>\n

Pauric admitted he was also using the mission to reinforce his Faithful credentials.<\/p>\n

“Of course me being the super Faithful I am, I get the pails of water up the hill, just trying to make it look like I am Mr Faithful here,” he said.<\/p>\n

Carla comes under pressure<\/p>\n

By the time they returned to the castle, Diego had become increasingly suspicious of Carla.<\/p>\n

At the Round Table, Pete went straight back to Aoife\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s just the Aoife situation,” he said. “It\u2019s still something that is lingering.”<\/p>\n

Anna agreed that Aoife\u2019s reaction had stood out.<\/p>\n

“The thing with the board with Aoife, she looked absolutely fuming,” she said.<\/p>\n

Carla insisted she had no explanation.<\/p>\n

\"The
\nIt’s a fiery Round Table as the players battle to stay in the game<\/p>\n

“I genuinely don\u2019t know why the girl banged on our board.”<\/p>\n

But suspicion quickly moved around the table.<\/p>\n

Diego questioned Pete over his behaviour in recent days, while Pauric again challenged Anna over the \u20ac2,000 she had taken.<\/p>\n

Anna hit back.<\/p>\n

“If I was a Traitor, why the f*** would I drop a bag for \u20ac2000, put a target on my back and have everybody staring at me?” she said.<\/p>\n

“Dropping the bag doesn\u2019t make me a Traitor. Dropping the bag makes me a s*** person. That\u2019s it.”<\/p>\n

She then turned to Carla.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve been thinking. How am I still in this game?” she said.<\/p>\n

“And it\u2019s because I\u2019m close to you and I\u2019m one of your allies.”<\/p>\n

Pauric holds the deciding vote<\/p>\n

The first vote ended in a tie.<\/p>\n

Carla voted Pete, Anna voted Carla, Diego voted Pete, Pete voted Carla and Pauric voted Anna, leaving Carla and Pete with two votes each.<\/p>\n

Both were given one final chance to plead their case before another vote, with only their names now eligible for banishment.<\/p>\n

Pete warned that removing him would only help the Traitors.<\/p>\n

“If I go, the numbers are reduced, probability is against the Faithfuls,” he said.<\/p>\n

“If you vote me, you\u2019re going to actually only benefit the Traitors.”<\/p>\n

\"The
\nPauric sticks with his fellow Traitor<\/p>\n

Anna stayed with Carla.<\/p>\n

Diego stayed with Pete.<\/p>\n

That left Pauric with the deciding vote.<\/p>\n

He chose Pete.<\/p>\n

Before leaving, Pete revealed that he had not been completely truthful about his occupation.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m actually Sergeant Peter O\u2019Flynn,” he said, revealing he was a military police investigator in the Irish Defence Forces.<\/p>\n

Then came the news the others did not want to hear.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m a Faithful.”<\/p>\n

\"The
\nPete’s ‘mad moves’ cost him a place in the final<\/p>\n

Heads dropped around the table.<\/p>\n

Anna said she had never believed Pete was a Traitor.<\/p>\n

“I knew it. He didn\u2019t act like a Traitor.”<\/p>\n

Carla\u2019s private reaction was very different.<\/p>\n

“How did I just get so lucky?” she said, laughing.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m literally, like, squeezing the tears out because I had to react in some way.”<\/p>\n

\u2018Can the Traitor win? Me? Yes\u2019<\/p>\n

Pete\u2019s departure leaves Carla, Pauric, Anna and Diego in the final.<\/p>\n

It was also the last time a banished player would reveal whether they were a Faithful or a Traitor, meaning every decision from here will be made without confirmation.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, Anna admitted to Pauric that she had been convinced he and Carla were the two Traitors, but was beginning to doubt herself.<\/p>\n

Diego still appeared convinced about Carla, while placing considerable trust in Pauric.<\/p>\n

At a final meal together, the four briefly put the game aside and spoke about their lives beyond the castle.<\/p>\n

Anna talked about missing her work as a postwoman, Carla spoke about her late grandmother and Pauric said he wanted to give something back to his parents.<\/p>\n

\nAnd then there were four…<\/p>\n

Diego spoke emotionally about losing his mother to pancreatic cancer after returning to Brazil to be with her during her illness.<\/p>\n

“The only way for me to survive the grief was to believe that every minute that I\u2019m living since her death is just to honour her,” he said.<\/p>\n

The four raised a glass to reaching the final.<\/p>\n

Then it was back to the Conclave.<\/p>\n

Carla and Pauric agreed that Anna needed to go, while Carla sought reassurance that Pauric would not turn against her.<\/p>\n

But Pauric\u2019s final words suggested he was thinking about his own route to victory.<\/p>\n

“Can the Traitors win? I\u2019m not sure,” he said.<\/p>\n

“But can the Traitor win? Me? Yes.”<\/p>\n

Carla and Pauric will now face Anna and Diego in the final, with two Traitors and two Faithfuls still in the game.<\/p>\n
