\n\tMadonna<\/a> and Charli xcx<\/a> are teaming up for a new remix.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Queen of Pop, who leads this year\u2019s MTV Video Music Awards with 13 nominations<\/a>, announced Monday (Sept. 21) that she and Charli have put a new spin on \u201cDanceteria,\u201d the track from Madonna\u2019s recent album, Confessions II.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe original song was co-produced by Madonna, Andrew Watt, Cirkut and Stuart Price.<\/p>\n

\n\tDubbed \u201cDanceteria Afterhours,\u201d the new version arrives Thursday (Sept. 24) through Warner Records. Fans can pre-save the track here<\/a>, while three limited-edition CDs are available to pre-order here<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tMadonna had teased the remix in recent days, sharing a snippet of the song on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cYou wanna talk about Madonna and Charli?\u201d they sing over a clip of themselves dancing in a white studio space. \u201cEveryone here is a work of art.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cLet\u2019s take it to the East side baby\u2026\u2026,\u201d Madonna captioned the teaser, alongside the Sept. 24 release date.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDanceteria Afterhours\u201d is described as \u201ca celebration of the fearless beginnings and influences that shaped each artist\u2019s singular paths,\u201d according to a press release.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe collaboration comes after months of speculation about a potential musical pairing between the two pop stars. Rumors first began swirling after Madonna and Charli were seated next to each other<\/a> at the Saint Laurent menswear spring\/summer 2027 fashion show in late June.<\/p>\n

\n\tTheir connection had already sparked conversation earlier this year, when fans speculated that the two stars were at odds after Madonna appeared to respond to Charli\u2019s declaration that \u201cthe dance floor is dead<\/a>\u201d on her \u201cRock Music\u201d single.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf your dance floor feels dead. Maybe you\u2019re playing the wrong music,\u201d Madonna cryptically posted on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite the speculation, Charli has long spoken admiringly of Madonna. While promoting The Moment earlier this year, she praised Madonna\u2019s 1991 documentary Truth or Dare. \u201cI love Truth or Dare, Madonna. Great choreo in that, also she\u2019s just the one,\u201d she said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDanceteria Afterhours\u201d arrives on the heels of Madonna\u2019s first musical collaborations with Kylie Minogue<\/a>: \u201cLove Sensation (Afterhours Radio Edit)\u201d and \u201cLove Sensation (Afterhours Mix),\u201d two new versions of \u201cLove Sensation\u201d from Madonna\u2019s July album Confessions II.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe collaboration came after \u201cLove Sensation\u201d reached No. 1 on Billboard\u2018s Dance Airplay<\/a> chart in July, adding to the album\u2019s success after it debuted at No. 1<\/a> on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n
