Mayo and formerly of Minnesota, U.S.A. \u2013 peacefully in the wonderful care of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Belmullet Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family on 23rd September 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Predeceased by her loving husband Tom, parents Robert and Teresa Carey, brothers Bertie and Myles, brother-in-law Willie Lavelle and sister-in-law Kitty Carey (n\u00e9e McAndrew).<\/p>\n<p>Bernie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, brother T.J. (Bangor Erris), sisters Deb Sweeney (Chicago, U.S.A.) and Goretti Lavelle (Ardoone, Belmullet), brother-in-law Pat Sweeney, sisters-in-law Mary Carey and Kathleen Carey, nieces and nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends, young and old.<\/p>\n<p>May Her Kind and Gentle Rest in Peace.<\/p>\n<p>Bernie will lie in repose at McDonnell\u2019s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Thursday evening from 5 o\u2019clock until 7.30.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral will arrive at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belmullet on Friday afternoon for Funeral Mass at 1 o\u2019clock followed by burial at Glencastle New Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing on Friday afternoon at 1 o\u2019clock on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtv.ie\/belmullet-parish-church\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.churchtv.ie\/belmullet-parish-church\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Family flowers only please.<\/p>\n<p>Donations in lieu if desired to \u2018The Palliative Care Unit at the Belmullet Community Hospital, c\/o McDonnell Funeral Directors, Belmullet.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Quay Street, Belmullet, Co.
