\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Jude Law<\/a> is in negotiations to co-star opposite Scarlett Johansson<\/a> in the Ari Aster<\/a> and A24 thriller Scapegoat<\/a>. Aster is directing the pic from a script he penned. A24, who has released Aster\u2019s past four films, is the distributor. Jacob Elordi also recently joined the cast.<\/p>\n

\n\tAster and partner Lars Knudsen will produce through their Square Peg banner.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile the plot is being kept under wraps, some have speculated that it\u2019s about a doctor who operates on an internet-famous person. Others say it\u2019s sci-fi romance, and some have said it\u2019s more of a traditional drama for Aster. As of now, there is no consensus on the movie\u2019s details, according to insiders.<\/p>\n

\n\tDeadline first reported earlier this year <\/a>that this would be Aster\u2019s next film after the director had taken his time deciding on what would be his follow-up to Eddington.<\/p>\n

\n\tLaw has had himself a busy 12 months that has included the Star Wars series The Skeleton Crew and the Emmy-nominated Netflix limited series Black Rabbit. He also recently played Vladmir Putin in The Wizard of the Kremlin.<\/p>\n

\n\tNext up he can be seen in the Apple limited series Wild Things where he plays Vegas performer Siegfried opposite Andrew Garfield. He also recently wrapped production on the new movie from Nancy Meyers.<\/p>\n
