Here, researchers within the academia, industry, and government sectors will provide access to real quantum hardware and expertise for students and others in the emerging quantum community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through its broader collaboration with Microsoft, Fermilab also aims to add new capabilities to the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/openquantumhardware\/qick\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Quantum Instrumentation Control Kit,<\/a> or QICK, an open-source hardware and software toolkit it developed to control and read out information from quantum bits.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/24-0203-20.hr_.jpg\" alt=\"QICK\" class=\"wp-image-341981\"  \/>The Quantum Instrumentation Control Kit \u2014 or QICK \u2014 an open-source quantum control and readout system developed at Fermilab. Harmoniqs, a quantum computing software company, developed Piccolo.jl, a quantum control and calibration software package.
