{"id":635709,"date":"2026-09-25T15:04:14","date_gmt":"2026-09-25T15:04:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/635709\/"},"modified":"2026-09-25T15:04:14","modified_gmt":"2026-09-25T15:04:14","slug":"multinationals-in-this-region-optimistic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/635709\/","title":{"rendered":"Multinationals in this region \u201coptimistic\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>50% of US multinationals in West and North-West regions plan to increase employment in region in the next 12 months, while 50% plan to\u00a0maintain\u00a0employment numbers.<\/p>\n<p>These figures were revealed at The American Chamber of Commerce Ireland (AmCham) West-North-West Conference and Dinner at The Galway Bay Hotel last week.<\/p>\n<p>AmCham shared key findings from\u00a0its\u00a0FDI Insights survey of\u00a0members.<\/p>\n<p>While US multinationals in the\u00a0West-North-West\u00a0remain optimistic about stability and growth, respondents highlighted the greatest risks to continued foreign direct investment (FDI) in Ireland over the next 5 years,\u00a0including\u00a0infrastructure constraints (33%)\u00a0and\u00a0trade tariffs (33%).<\/p>\n<p>The findings also highlight changing competitiveness pressures in the region.
