Ronan Keating<\/a> has come to Rylan Clark<\/a>\u2019s defence while performing on stage after the host made some controversial comments on This Morning.<\/a><\/p>\n Ronan, 48, was performing at Radio 2 in the Park on Saturday when he made a special shout-out to Rylan, 36.<\/p>\n \u2018This is a big gig tonight, a nice vibe, we\u2019re in Chelmsford \u2013 also we\u2019re in the home of Rylan. I thought I might do something nice for Rylan tonight, so I wrote a song, especially for you all,\u2019 he said mid-performance.<\/p>\n The former Boyzone<\/a> singer quipped: \u2018No-one\u2019s ever heard it before. This is brand new, it\u2019s about Essex<\/a>, it\u2019s about Rylan.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u2018Just go with it \u2013 this is not the time to go to the toilet, or go to the bar. Look at all those people moving over there, you\u2019ll regret it \u2013 come back.\u2019<\/p>\n He then launched into a song that fans had most definitely heard as he sang his number one hit, When You Say Nothing At All. <\/p>\n Speaking to Daily Mail<\/a> about how he felt about Ronan\u2019s tribute, Rylan commented: \u2018I\u2019m not going to talk about anything today,\u2019 before adding, \u2018I love Ronan, he\u2019s a really good friend of mine.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t \t\t This comes just days after Rylan sparked a huge amount of criticism and 576 complaints to\u00a0Ofcom<\/a> after his comments about immigration on This Morning. <\/p>\n The TV personality co-hosted the\u00a0ITV<\/a>\u00a0chat show last week with\u00a0Josie Gibson<\/a>\u00a0when a\u00a0debate about illegal immigration\u00a0<\/a>cropped up while speaking about Reform leader\u00a0Nigel Farage<\/a>\u2019s proposal for\u00a0mass deportation.<\/p>\n During the discussion, Rylan acknowledged that legal immigration is \u2018helping this country thrive\u2019. He then addressed the Channel boat crossings, adding: \u2018I find it absolutely insane that all these people are risking their lives coming across the Channel.<\/p>\n \u2018And when they get here, it does seem, and I think this is why a lot of Labour voters as well are saying there\u2019s something wrong, it feels like, \u201cWelcome, come on in\u201d.
