Duolingo has long served ads on\u00a0demand-side platforms to users on its free tier, who make up some 90% of its global audience. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{e000e0a3-33c9-4dce-9081-174da94ec4c3}{36}\" paraid=\"985554351\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">\n\t\tPrior to this launch, Duolingo\u2019s ad inventory offered two primary formats: skippable interstitials that play after lessons, and rewarded videos that give users the option to view branded content and earn in-app currency. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{c5a21e7f-54e9-4bf8-9c3c-4dc1a2e51985}{209}\" paraid=\"293975285\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">\n\t\tMajor brands including Marriott Bonvoy, Intrepid Travel, Universal Pictures, and Adobe have been testing the new ad platform since May.
