\n Ireland play Portugal and Armenia over the next week.\n <\/p>\n

Dundee United’s Will Ferry has received his first senior international call-up to the Republic of Ireland squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Portugal and Armenia.<\/p>\n

Ferry comes into the squad as both Sammie Szmodics and Callum O’Dowda have been ruled out of the two matches through injury.<\/p>\n

The call-up is a reward for Ferry’s impressive start to the season in the Scottish Premiership, where he has been a standout performer for Dundee United.<\/p>\n

Ireland are set to travel to Lisbon to take on Portugal at the Est\u00e1dio Jos\u00e9 Alvalade on Saturday, October 11th (KO 7:45pm), before returning to Dublin to host Armenia at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, October 14th (KO 7:45pm).<\/p>\n
