{"id":657628,"date":"2026-10-17T14:46:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-17T14:46:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/657628\/"},"modified":"2026-10-17T14:46:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-17T14:46:09","slug":"kerry-house-with-couple-and-three-children-inside-attacked-with-petrol-bombs-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/657628\/","title":{"rendered":"Kerry house with couple and three children inside attacked with petrol bombs \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">A house in Kerry, occupied by a couple and their three small children, was attacked with petrol bombs early on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The attack took place at about 4.50am when a number of males got out of a car and threw the bombs at the house in the Fortfield area of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/tralee\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/tralee\">Tralee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The property was damaged though no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/an-garda-siochana\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/an-garda-siochana\">Garda\u00ed<\/a> confirmed emergency services responded to a report of criminal damage by fire at a residence in the areas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Fire services extinguished the fire and made the area safe. Garda\u00ed said investigations were ongoing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Garda technical experts were examining the scene and garda\u00ed were doing door-to-door inquires and canvassing for CCTV in the area and approach roads. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Last week, four people died after a petrol bomb was thrown at the front door of a house on the Birchwood estate outside Waterford city early on Tuesday morning. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Philip and Kim English and their two young sons, Callum (12) and Jayden (9), were killed.
