{"id":657846,"date":"2026-10-17T20:44:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-17T20:44:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/657846\/"},"modified":"2026-10-17T20:44:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-17T20:44:09","slug":"man-and-woman-charged-in-connection-with-fatal-waterford-house-fire-the-irish-times-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/657846\/","title":{"rendered":"Man and woman charged in connection with fatal Waterford house fire \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Two people have appeared at a special court sitting charged in connection with a house fire that killed four members of the same family in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/waterford\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/waterford\/\">Waterford<\/a> on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Cian Stacey (21) and Jessica Dalton (31) appeared at Clonmel District Court charged with one count of criminal damage and two counts of assault causing serious harm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Philip and Kim English and their sons Callum (12), and Jayden (9), died in their home on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Judge Andrew Gubbins presided over the special sitting of the court in Co Tipperary on Saturday evening and was told each defendant faced three charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Dalton appeared in court wearing a black sports top and leggings.
