There were just 18 of us there on the day, a very small family celebration of our love \u2014 and it was exactly what we wanted!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">The bride and groom, from Frankfield, now live in Douglas with their two daughters, Abigail and Carly O\u2019Donovan, who enjoyed being at the heart of the action as their flowergirls. \u201cWe also had our nieces Everly and Fairah and Roisin as flowergirls,\u201d says Amy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/5260558_5_articleinlinemobile_0054_Amy_20_26_20Ciara_cc_81n_2017-08-26_ZF1_0037.jpg\" alt=\"Amy Ormond and Ciar\u00e1n O'Donovan. Pictures: Dermotsullivan.com<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">Amy and Ciar\u00e1n have been together since 2015. \u201cWe had known one another for about 10 years before that,\u201d says Amy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">Monart Destination Spa in Co Wexford set the five-star scene for their engagement, and organising their nuptials proved to be a fun experience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">The bride\u2019s parents, Marion and Robert Ormond, and the groom\u2019s mother and father, Maria and Kieran O\u2019Donovan, played key roles as wedding planners too. \u201cAs we had a small celebration, a lot of responsibility lay with my mom and cousin, Stephanie Murphy,\u201d adds Amy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/5260561_5_articleinlinemobile_0003_Amy_20_26_20Ciara_cc_81n_2017-08-26_ZF1_8481.jpg\" alt=\"Amy Ormond with her parents Marion and Robert Ormond.
