Shamrock Rovers are League of Ireland Premier Division champions!

Full-time: Bohemians 0 Shelbourne 1

Shamrock Rovers have got another too through Watts, it’s 4-0 to them against Sligo. Heading into stoppage time, but it’s party time in Tallaght.

90 mins: Shelbourne have been heroic at the back, throwing bodies on the line, it’s Bohs’ time for some great defending as Odubeko shows his pace and almost gets another but a great recovery tackle.

85 mins: Goal for Shelbourne! Norris with a good low cross to Mipo Odubeko, he takes a good touch and finishes well high past the keeper from just outside the six yard box. Bohs look done. Shels fans get the flares going again and there’s one on the pitch.

Bohemians 0 Shelbourne 1

83 mins: Quite a ragged structure to the game now, lots of mistakes by both teams.

76 mins: Great long ball by Flores to Whelan but another great block by Shelbourne.

Goal by Shamrock Rovers, Greene scores and that one is over anyway. Shamrock Rovers 3 Sligo Rovers 0

72 mins: Bohs looking a bit short of ideas at the moment, Shelbourne as likely to score on the break. But it’s the sort of match where one moment could decide it.

Bohs rolling the dice, Mullens, Strodts and Whelan are off the bench.

65 mins: Sloppy play by Bohemians is almost punished by Shelbourne by McInroy scuffs his shot.

Goal for Waterford, Noonan scores to put them back in the lead against Drogheda United, which could save them from the relegation playoff. Waterford 2 Drogheda United 1

Goal for Derry City, Michael Duffy scores as they move into fourth position as it stands. Derry City 2 Dundalk 0

56 mins: Chance for Shelbourne in transition on the counter, Martin fizzes the ball across goal, but past everyone. Then another chance a few seconds later, which leads to a McInroy shot well-saved by Walters.

52 mins: Bohemians have looked more menacing in attack since half-time but still can’t get the breakthrough yet. Parsons, Myers, Vaughan causing a few problems for Shels. Great block by Casey from a Vaughan shot.

Goal for Shamrock Rovers! Another goal for Brennan against Sligo, the Hoops are 2-0 up with the title in sight.

Half-time: Bohemians 0 Shelbourne 0

But a big goal in Tallaght… Shamrock Rovers take the lead through Adam Brennan. Shamrock Rovers 1 Sligo Rovers 0

As it stands they would win the title tonight.

43 mins: Then a big chance for Shels! Cross hit low in the box and fell to Moore, who just hit it over from inside the box.

All action last few minutes and then Bohs have a chance on the counter, Myers does well and ends up with James-Taylor with a shot, decent save by the keeper.

41 mins: Off the post! Big chance for Bohs after a cross to the back post was knocked back by James-Taylor and on the six-yard box and Myers should score but sort of scuffs the shot and hits the post.

38 mins: Diallo has been caught out a few times in midfield with good pressing, there was a chance for Shelbourne for a breakaway but the pass was overhit again. A decent counter then by Bohemians, Flores has a shot from outside the box, good effort but well blocked by Casey.

Goal for Waterford, Cann scores to make it 1-1.

34 mins: Ross Tierney is off for Bohs, Zane Myers on. Difficult times for Bohs with all the injuries.

31 mins: Great run by Parsons, who beats two men on the wing and then falls down looking for a penalty but would have been soft and not given.

28 mins: Shelbourne the better side so far, with Henry-Francis threatening, Bohs looking a bit nervy. Still 0-0 between Sligo and Shamrock Rovers, with 18 minutes gone.

23 mins: Henry-Francis makes a driving run at Bohs and whips it across goal but Martin can’t quite get to it.

Goal for Drogheda, Leo Burney puts them ahead, important goal in the battle to avoid the relegation playoff. Waterford 0 Drogheda United 1

20 mins: Another chance for Shels after Flores gives away the ball in the middle of the pitch and they counter. Kelly knocks it across goal but there’s nobody there at the back post.

18 mins: Chance for Shelbourne after Martin connects with a cross in the box and heads it towards goal but too far out to really trouble the goalkeeper.

12 mins: Flores puts in a dangerous ball and it’s headed away, then Parsons goes close with a shot from just outside the box, but it’s just over the bar.

9 mins: Good play by Bohemians, Flores heavily involved in the build-up, his shot is blocked though.

Goal for Derry City, James Clarke scores, which would put Derry ahead of Shels in the table if things stand how they are. But obviously a long way to go.

5 mins: No goals in any of the games yet. A lively start by Shelbourne so far but no chances of note.

Match under way. Finally after a six-minute delay, Bohs and Shels gets going.

Still items being thrown on the pitch, several scorch marks on the pitch which is a shame when it had been looking so well.

The teams are out on the pitch, a few flares there too and quite a smoky scene out there.

The game has been delayed due to the pyrotechnics.

He spoke to Gavin Cummiskey:

“Our set-up was slow and sloppy,” admitted Pico Lopes, the Hoops skipper. “Credit to Galway after that, they defended really well.”

[ Shamrock Rovers’ Pico Lopes credits ‘enthusiastic’ new signings as title is within graspOpens in new window ]

Hello and welcome to live coverage of the penultimate round of fixtures in the League of Ireland Premier Division, with the title within grasp for Shamrock Rovers, but Bohemians are looking to keep their title hopes alive. Bohs play their old rivals Shelbourne at 7.45pm. Shamrock Rovers are playing Sligo Rovers at 8pm in Tallaght with the benefit of being 15 minutes so have a bit more clarity of the situation, although they will expect to beat Sligo given they are already relegated. At the other end of the table there is plenty to play for as well, with Waterford against Drogheda United looking to avoid a relegation playoff.

League of Ireland fixtures Bohemians 0 Shelbourne 1 (Odubeko)Waterford 2 (Cann, Noonan) Drogheda United 1 (Burney)Derry City 3…

[3
3407,42,2539,43,11113,40,38,41,39
post-663471","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-headlines","tag-bohemians","tag-headlines","tag-league-of-ireland","tag-news","tag-shamrock-rovers","tag-top-news","tag-top-stories","tag-topnews","tag-topstories
["GET
!["Shamrock]("https://www.newsbeep.com/ie/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/TAQZEPWGKQJQMHLYKZPR5VUGTU.jpg")
