Here are three new features coming next week with iOS 27.2.<\/p>\n<p>#1: Dual Capture for Group FaceTime<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1792902868_679_facetime-ios-27-dual-camera-fernando-jeff.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1056121\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FaceTime got one of its biggest upgrades in years with iOS 27. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/08\/04\/ios-27-gives-facetime-huge-upgrade-with-this-powerful-new-feature\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">compatible iPhone models<\/a>, Dual Capture lets you display both your front and rear camera views at the same time. Just tap the \u2018Flip\u2019 button and the back camera will go live while the front camera remains active.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And in iOS 27.2, the feature <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/09\/23\/ios-27-2-makes-facetimes-best-new-feature-even-better\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">gets even better<\/a> by adding support for Group FaceTime calls.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">iOS 27 only lets you use Dual Capture in one-on-one calls, but with iOS 27.2 it\u2019s available for Group FaceTime too.<\/p>\n<p>#2: Apple Podcasts overhauls \u2018Up Next\u2019 queue<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1792902868_720_apple-podcasts-ios-27-2-home.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1071973\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple Podcasts gets a key change in iOS 27.2 that <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/10\/02\/ios-27-2-gives-apple-podcasts-the-big-fix-ive-wanted-for-years\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1072370\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">I\u2019m a big fan of<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The previous \u2018Up Next\u2019 queue at the top of the app\u2019s Home tab is now split into two new sections:<\/p>\n<p>New Episodes replaces Up Next, and contains the latest releases for shows you follow<\/p>\n<p>Continue Playing is brand new, located directly below New Episodes as a hub for all in-progress shows<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2024\/12\/10\/ios-182-improves-apples-podcasts-app-but-my-biggest-complaint-is-unchanged\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">criticized<\/a> the Up Next feature before for being cluttered and confusing, so I\u2019m very excited to see this change. After testing it during the beta, I think it\u2019s a huge improvement that helps users better keep track of everything they\u2019re listening to.<\/p>\n<p>#3: Apple TV app supports user profiles<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1792902869_380_ios-27-2-apple-tv-app-profiles.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1070101\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple\u2019s TV app is about to support user profiles on iPhone, bringing the feature over from tvOS to iOS for the first time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you first launch the TV app in iOS 27.2, you\u2019ll see a new profile selection screen. You can easily disable it from ever showing up again. But if your child ever watches videos on your iPhone, you might be very glad about this new feature.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With profiles, the Apple TV app can change which content it displays and recommends based on the selected viewer. And importantly, when a child\u2019s profile is active, they\u2019ll only see age-appropriate series and movies from Apple.
