Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a beloved mum-of-seven who lost her life in a two-vehicle road crash<\/a> in Co Monaghan<\/a> earlier this week<\/p>\n Grandmother-of-10 Frances Treanor, in her 70s, from Emyvale died when the car she was a passenger in, collided with another vehicle on the N2 at Broomfield <\/a>shortly after 10am on Thursday, October 22.<\/p>\n Her body was removed to the mortuary at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, for a postmortem examination.<\/p>\n Garda forensic collision investigators carried out a technical examination of the scene on Thursday with the road itself remaining closed for the duration.<\/p>\n The driver and only other occupant of the car Ms Treanor was travelling in, a woman in her 30s and the driver and sole occupant of the other car, a man in his 50s, were transferred to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, heartfelt tributes have been paid to Ms Treanor as details of her funeral have been announced.<\/p>\n Her death notice on RIP.ie<\/a> states: \u201cPredeceased by her parents Jimmy & Annie McKenna and brothers Hugo & Jim Pat.<\/p>\n \u201cFrances will be sadly missed by her family; husband Dermot, daughters Aileen McBride (Mark), Bronagh Treanor (Rory) & Aine Rice (Noel), sons Donal (Deirdre), Ciaran (Shane), Cormac & Pauric (Caroline), and her adored grandchildren Josh, Grace, Dylan, Ella, James, Tom, Anna, Eoghan, Peter & Kate.<\/p>\n \u201cShe will be remembered with love by her sisters Mary McCluskey, Ann McKenna, Agnes McGeough, Brigitta Treanor, Dympna McQuaid & Goretti Treanor, her brothers Owen, Anthony & Joe, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.<\/p>\n \u201cMay Frances\u2019 gentle soul Rest in Peace.<\/p>\n \u201cFrances\u2019 remains will repose at her home (H18 T381), until removal on Monday morning to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Carrickroe for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.<\/p>\n \u201cFamily flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Crocus Monaghan c\/o McMahons Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member,\u201d the notice states.<\/p>\n Paying tribute, one mourner wrote: \u201cSincere sympathy to Dermot and the entire family. We are very sad to hear of Frances\u2019 passing. She was a beautiful and friendly lady that will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.\u201d<\/p>\n Another mourner wrote: \u201cHeartfelt sympathy to Dermot, Aileen, Bronagh, Aine, Donal, Ciaran, Cormac & Pauric and all the extended Treanor & McKenna Families on the tragic passing of Frances. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time. May Frances Rest in Peace,\u201d while another wrote: \u201cThere are no words that can adequately express the shock that you all must be experiencing at this devastating time that has been visited upon you all.<\/p>\n \u201cSending you my most sincere condolences and sympathy at this time of such heartbreak and sorrow on the death of your beloved Frances.
