They found a man (35) in an unresponsive state in the rented property.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The man was pronounced dead at the scene, which garda\u00ed immediately cordoned off. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The services of the State Pathologist\u2019s Office were requested and Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margot Bolster carried out a preliminary examination of the body at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The man\u2019s body was later transferred to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/cork-university-hospital\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/cork-university-hospital\/\">Cork University Hospital<\/a> where the pathologist is due to carry out a postmortem later on Sunday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Garda\u00ed say the course of their investigation will be determined by the findings of the postmortem. A source described the circumstances of the man\u2019s death as \u201cunexplained\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">It is understood that the deceased, originally from Dunmanway, had sustained head injuries.
