{"id":665713,"date":"2026-10-26T09:48:08","date_gmt":"2026-10-26T09:48:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/665713\/"},"modified":"2026-10-26T09:48:08","modified_gmt":"2026-10-26T09:48:08","slug":"midleton-man-indicates-guilty-plea-to-assault-on-female-staff-member-in-cork-city-cafe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/665713\/","title":{"rendered":"Midleton man indicates guilty plea to assault on female staff member in Cork city caf\u00e9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">A 24-year-old Midleton man facing charges including assault causing harm to a young woman working at a caf\u00e9 in Cork city and assaulting two men on the same occasion has signed pleas of guilty to all charges against him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Defence solicitor Don Ryan said at Cork District Court when the case was called that Alan O\u2019Leary of 49 Avoncore Place, Midleton, was signing guilty pleas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The charges relate to an alleged incident at Bean &amp; Leaf on Grand Parade in Cork, shortly after 6am on December 12 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Alan O\u2019Leary has now admitted assaulting a woman causing her harm, contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act. He confessed to similar offences in respect of two men. The fourth offence was of causing criminal damage at the Bean &amp; Leaf premises.
