Macklemore will bring his Free Palestine tour to Dublin’s 3Arena tonight, with the full line-up yet to be announced and the US rapper promising “many incredible surprise guests”.<\/p>\n

Australian singer Tones and I, best known for her hit Dance Monkey, is expected to perform, according to Australian broadcaster 7NEWS.<\/p>\n

The singer joined Macklemore on stage at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre last Thursday, with 7NEWS reporting on Monday that she is also set to appear at the Dublin concert.<\/p>\n

The Dublin show is the first of three European dates, with performances scheduled for Paris on Thursday and London on Friday.<\/p>\n

Grammy-winning rapper Macklemore, whose hits include Thrift Shop, Can’t Hold Us and Same Love, announced the tour after being removed from the remaining US dates of Ed Sheeran\u2019s Loop tour in September.<\/p>\n

The decision followed comments Macklemore made in support of Palestinians during a concert in New Jersey. Sheeran subsequently said the decision to remove the rapper had been made by the tour promoter, not him.<\/p>\n

Irish acts Beoga and Aaron Rowe were among the performers who subsequently withdrew from Sheeran’s tour in solidarity with Macklemore.<\/a><\/p>\n

Both have been suggested as possible guests at tonight’s concert, although neither has been confirmed to appear.<\/p>\n

Macklemore said he wanted to bring together artists who had used their platforms to express support for Palestinians.<\/p>\n

According to organisers, all proceeds from the concerts will go to organisations providing humanitarian aid, medical assistance and other support to Palestinians.<\/p>\n
