He completed the Dublin-based run in three hours and thirty eight minutes, no small feat! <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Down man flashed his biceps as he posed in his all-black running rigout, beaming from ear to ear. He also showed off his medal, after joining the record breaking 19,190 people took part in this year&#8217;s marathon. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It appears John has been bitten by the bug as he told his followers he is &#8216;on to the next.&#8217; He shared a string of snaps, alongside the caption: &#8216;My first marathon and delighted it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/dublinmarathon\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">@dublinmarathon<\/a>. I\u2019d heard a lot about the Dublin crowd and the support they give but to experience it first hand was magic, they really helped!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/SnapInsta-Ai_4015911137056288099_224416728.jpg\" alt=\"Pic: John McAreavey\/Instagram\" class=\"wp-image-2214766\"  \/>Pic: John McAreavey\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8216;Really proud of that effort as conditions were really tough,&#8217; he added. The celebrations didn&#8217;t stop in the capital city, as the soon-to-be dad of three made his kids proud. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His wife Tara, who is currently <a href=\"https:\/\/evoke.ie\/2026\/06\/14\/entertainment\/john-and-tara-mcareavey-pregnant\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">pregnant with the couple&#8217;s third child,<\/a> helped their son James and daughter Lily make a sweet poster to celebrate John&#8217;s achievement. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/SnapInsta-Ai_4015911137500927717_224416728.jpg\" alt=\"Pic: John McAreavey\/Instagram\" class=\"wp-image-2214767\"  \/>Pic: John McAreavey\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They greeted him with a hand-painted sign, which read: &#8216;Well done dada, we are so proud of you.&#8217; The family proudly posed beneath the creation in their home. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tara also got her hubby a celebratory blue and white-iced cake featuring snaps of him running. The atmosphere in Dublin is unreal!!!&#8217; one person penned, while another added: &#8216;Magic John! Great memories.
