{"id":667087,"date":"2026-10-27T19:16:10","date_gmt":"2026-10-27T19:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/667087\/"},"modified":"2026-10-27T19:16:10","modified_gmt":"2026-10-27T19:16:10","slug":"neil-young-is-suing-trump-again-for-10m-for-using-his-song-at-a-political-rally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/667087\/","title":{"rendered":"Neil Young is suing Trump again for $10m for using his song at a political rally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SINGER NEIL YOUNG is suing Donald Trump again after the US president used one of his songs at a campaign rally.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to the court filing, Young is suing Trump for copyright infringement over his alleged use of Rockin\u2019 in the Free World at a rally in Ohio on 12 October.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the court filing, Young\u2019s attorneys said this was a copyright infringement under Title 17 of the US Code.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit said the song was played at the Youngstown rally in Ohio just before Trump took the stage.<\/p>\n<p>    <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@neilyoungchannel\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">neilyoungchannel<\/a> \/ YouTube<\/p>\n<p>It also alleges that the song has been used numerous times at other rallies \u201cdesigned to encourage Republican votes in the upcoming US mid-term elections\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The filing also said the song\u2019s message represents \u201cthe opposite of everything that Donald J.
