Pay service was already available in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia, bringing its total reach to eight overseas markets.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>   <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/4eREnhs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">&#13;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1793175372_244_MY-Report-2026.webp\" fetchpriority=\"high\" loading=\"eager\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1000\"\/><\/a><br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Customers can pay at participating merchants without downloading another app or registering for an Alipay+ account.<\/p>\n<p>They can also view the amount in both the local currency and Malaysian ringgit before confirming payment.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-62015\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Visual-2-Alipay-integration-on-MAE-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1481\" height=\"2560\"  \/>Maybank customers can scan Alipay+ QR codes at participating overseas merchants using the MAE app. (Image: Maybank)<\/p>\n<p>Maybank reported an almost 80 percent increase in total cross-border transactions in the first nine months of 2026 compared with the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-47466\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Syed-Ahmad-Taufik-Albar-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Syed Ahmad Taufik Albar\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"  \/>Syed Ahmad Taufik Albar<\/p>\n<p>Syed Ahmad Taufik Albar, Group CEO of Community Financial Services, Maybank, said,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSupported by PayNet\u2019s cross-border payments network, the integration with Alipay+ expands the reach of MAE Scan &amp;
