\n\tHarry Styles<\/a> went back to where it all started for Harryween.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt Madison Square Garden on Friday (Oct. 30), the 29th night of his 30-show Together, Together residency, Styles changed into the outfit he wore for his 2010 X Factor audition and performed Stevie Wonder<\/a>\u2019s \u201cIsn\u2019t She Lovely,\u201d the song that got him through to the next round at 16. He even repeated a line from that day, telling the crowd, \u201cI work in a bakery,\u201d a nod to the part-time job he held in his Cheshire hometown of Holmes Chapel.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe audition outfit was a midshow swap. Styles opened the night dressed as Elvis Presley<\/a>, while his band and dancers came as different versions of Styles from across his career. The Elvis nod tracks: the first song Styles ever recorded was a cover of Presley\u2019s \u201cThe Girl of My Best Friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStyles wasn\u2019t the only one in costume. Aside from fans in the packed arena wearing their Halloween finery, Zoe Kravitz \u2013 to whom Styles is reportedly engaged<\/a> \u2013 was dressed as a devil, wearing a red jacket and horns while dancing in the front row between Styles and the up-close-and-personal pit surrounding his in-the-round stage. Kravitz caught the show with Riley Keough, who sang along to \u201cWatermelon Sugar\u201d while Styles performed the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 dressed up as her famous grandfather. Throughout the show, Styles periodically threw cheeky glances toward Kravitz, winking at her during \u201cAmerican Girls\u201d and briefly cheesing in her direction during \u201cAre You Listening Yet?\u201d.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for the X Factor audition back in the day, \u201cIsn\u2019t She Lovely\u201d wasn\u2019t Styles\u2019 first pick. Footage released by the show in 2022 revealed he opened with Train<\/a>\u2019s \u201cHey, Soul Sister\u201d and only sang the Wonder song a cappella after Simon Cowell asked to hear him without a backing track. He was later placed in One Direction<\/a> alongside Niall Horan<\/a>, Louis Tomlinson<\/a>, Zayn Malik<\/a> and the late Liam Payne<\/a>. Earlier this month, Styles debuted \u201cWhat Is Enough,\u201d a song written for Payne, at the same venue on the second anniversary of Payne\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

\n\tCostumed covers have become a Harryween tradition. At the first edition, at MSG in 2021, Styles dressed as Dorothy to sing \u201cOver the Rainbow,\u201d then came out as a clown the next night to cover Britney Spears<\/a>\u2019 \u201cToxic.\u201d In 2022, at Los Angeles\u2019 Kia Forum, he dressed as Grease\u2019s Danny Zuko for \u201cHopelessly Devoted to You.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe residency wraps Saturday (Oct. 31) with a final Harryween show. The MSG run drew a record 11.5 million presale registrations on Ticketmaster. Styles has sent all four of his solo albums to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, most recently Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. in March, and has topped the Hot 100 three times: \u201cWatermelon Sugar\u201d in 2020, \u201cAs It Was\u201d in 2022 (15 weeks at No. 1, the longest run atop the chart by a U.K. act) and \u201cAperture\u201d this year.<\/p>\n
