She lived in her stunning home in Bray from 2007 to 2021, and it went on the market in 2021.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The house sold for nearly \u20ac1.3 million last year, and the owners were granted planning permission for a major renovation, which will include a home bar, gym, and sauna.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Sinead-OConnor-5.jpg\" alt=\"Pic: Michel Linssen\/Redferns\" class=\"wp-image-1320137\"  \/>The new owners of Sin\u00e9ad O\u2019Connor\u2019s Bray seafront home are set to pay tribute to the late singer, as the home undergoes renovations. Pic: Michel Linssen\/Redferns<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The makeover and extension were granted to the home\u2019s new owners in January and began earlier this month, with a tribute to its previous owner set to be erected at the front of the property.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drawings submitted with the planning permission application show a plaque on the front of the property that reads: \u2018SINEAD O\u2019CONNOR; musician, activist 1966 \u2013 2023 lived here from 2007 to 2021.\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 1860s double-fronted six-bed house faces the Bray promenade and was sold by Sin\u00e9ad for just over \u20ac1 million in November 2021. The buyers initially sought to develop the home into luxury apartments, but planning permission was rejected. Pic: MyHome.ie\/REA Forkin<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following Sin\u00e9ad\u2019s passing in 2023, floral tributes lined the front of the home as tributes poured in for the Nothing Compares 2 U singer. Thousands of people lined the streets outside her home as her funeral cortege passed her former home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tributes have continued on Sin\u00e9ad\u2019s third anniversary, including from her \u2018sister\u2019 Imelda May, <a href=\"https:\/\/extra.ie\/2026\/07\/28\/entertainment\/imelda-may-sinead-oconnor-tribute\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">who shared a lovely photo<\/a> of the pair, adding that she \u2018really f**king misses\u2019 her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018I really f***ing miss you, sister,\u2019 Imelda wrote alongside a pic of her and Sin\u00e9ad at Shane MacGowan\u2019s birthday. \u2018Not just today but always.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/SIneadBW.jpg\" alt=\"Sinead O'Connor\" class=\"wp-image-1321600\"  \/>Sin\u00e9ad passed away in 2023. People are only just hearing your truth ROAR!!!!!\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Imelda added that she\u2019s grateful for getting closer to former Pogues frontman Shane\u2019s widow, Victoria Mary Clarke, in the wake of Sin\u00e9ad\u2019s death, writing: \u2018your passing brought many of our circle closer together, especially @VictoriaMaryClarke and I.
