Directed by David LaChapelle and filmed at LA County Raceway in May 2001, it was rebuilt from original 35mm film elements, scanned frame by frame and re-edited to match the original. Glitter, Carey’s eighth studio album and the soundtrack to the film of the same name, blends dance-pop, funk, hip-hop and R&B, with production by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and DJ Clue. Its renewed audience attention followed the 2018 #JusticeForGlitter campaign, which helped propel the album to No. 1 on the iTunes albums chart. “I made this album with so much love and care, so it was devastating to watch it become a punchline,” Carey said. “I’m endlessly grateful to my fans who kept championing it all these years, and I hope even more people can finally hear it for what it is.”

Order the 25th anniversary editions of Mariah Carey’s Glitter here.

Mariah Carey has marked the 25th anniversary of Glitter with an expanded digital edition and the album’s first…

[28
125305,284341,93,236606,21632,61,60,78266,6546,278,6551,641,648,278237,101731,98178
post-671321","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-music","tag-25th-anniversary","tag-def-jam-records","tag-entertainment","tag-glitter","tag-homepage-featured","tag-ie","tag-ireland","tag-loverboy","tag-mariah-carey","tag-music","tag-music-videos","tag-pop","tag-rb","tag-reissues","tag-soundtracks","tag-vinyl
["GET
