Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MoH) reduced the prices of 290 medicines as part of its periodic review of pharmaceutical prices, with cuts reaching 88.09 per cent.<\/p>\n
The reductions, carried out through the efforts of the Drug Safety Centre, range from 0.04 per cent to 88.09 per cent, with the average reduction reported at 22.4 per cent.<\/p>\n
The move is aimed at easing the financial burden on patients and ensuring greater access to medicines at more affordable prices.<\/p>\n
The periodic review of medicine prices forms part of the ministry’s efforts to enhance the affordability of treatment while maintaining the availability of medicines in the Sultanate of Oman.<\/p>\n
