\n\tThe BLACKPINK<\/a> star shares in full her new song<\/a>, written and produced by Justin Tranter. \u201cSomeone to Hold\u201d is light on its feet, a melodic neo-disco production with strings, slapping bass, and layers of JENNIE vocals.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn it, she sings: \u201cAfter, after everything that we\u2019ve been through \/ The ins and outs, the upside downs and good times too \/ You\u2019re still the shooting star that\u2019s in my skies \/ You\u2019re still the only one I want in every life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTranter, who wrote and produced three more original songs for the film\u2019s official soundtrack, has described \u201cSomeone to Hold\u201d as \u201cpure danceable joy inspired by vintage organic dance pop.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDirected by Alyce Tzue and John Ripa, Steps sends the tale of Cinderella in a different direction. According to a statement, Cinderella\u2019s \u201cevil\u201d stepsisters Lilith (Ali Wong) steals the magic wand belonging to the Fairy Godmother (Bette Midler) and hijacks the Royal Ball with Margot (Stephanie Hsu). Enter Priscilla (Nikki Glaser), a \u201cvillainous schemer who swoops in and snatches the throne.\u201d With Priscilla in charge, consider the party over. And the happily-ever-after ending ruined.<\/p>\n

\n\tRealizing her terrible move, Lilith must join forces with Cinderella (Amanda Seyfried) in an epic quest, with battles royale and friendships forged along the way.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe love how Jennie\u2019s bright and spirited \u2018Someone To Hold\u2019 represents Lilith, Cinderella, and Margot\u2019s sisterhood, giving audiences a shot of energy and positivity straight to the heart,\u201d Tzue and Ripa comment in a statement.<\/p>\n

\n\tSteps is produced by Amy Poehler, Jane Hartwell, Kim Lessing, with Poehler and Lessing producing for Paper Kite Productions.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe companion soundtrack arrives Nov. 20, the same day as Steps rolls out on Netflix. JENNIE is coming off her biggest hit as a solo artist with her guest work on Tame Impala\u2019s \u201cDracula\u201d remix, which went to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a> and No. 2 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart and enjoyed a scary Halloween streaming boost<\/a>. <\/p>\n
