El Al announced its summer 2027 schedule for the Americas on Wednesday, and it is the largest the airline has ever operated in the region. Beginning in late March, El Al will operate 63 weekly flights between Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) and the Americas, with about 35,000 seats a week between Israel and the region. The schedule spans seven airports across six metropolitan areas.<\/p>\n

The added flights go on sale later this week. El Al flights for Sukkos 2027 go on sale at the same time.<\/p>\n

El Al\u2019s Record Americas Schedule<\/p>\n

New York remains the largest market. El Al grows from 27 weekly flights across John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to 36, with as many as seven flights a day on some days. Miami International Airport (MIA) gains two weekly flights for a total of nine, and the airline is already selling seven. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) adds one weekly flight for a total of nine. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) goes from three weekly flights to four.<\/p>\n

San Francisco keeps three weekly flights, and for the first time they will run through the summer season. El Al relaunched San Francisco International Airport (SFO) service in late October after a six-year break, and United Airlines resumes its own San Francisco route<\/a> in March 2027. Buenos Aires service<\/a> launches later this month with two weekly flights, the longest route in El Al\u2019s network, and it will also run through the summer for the first time.<\/p>\n

Every flight on the schedule operates on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with economy, premium, and business classes. The cabins carry the service upgrades El Al introduced this month, covering sleep products, entertainment, menus, and amenity kits. El Al flies 17 Dreamliners today and holds firm orders for 11 more, plus options for another 6. One new 787-9 arrives next week and another lands next month. Four of the firm orders are for the larger 787-10, which adds seats on the routes it flies.<\/p>\n

El Al says the expansion answers growing business and leisure travel demand and strengthens connections with Jewish and Israeli communities across the Americas. The airline also highlighted onward connections through its partnership with Delta Air Lines, with Boston as a key connection point.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe continue to invest in the American market and introduce significant additions that make up the broadest summer schedule El Al has ever operated to the Americas,\u201d said Shlomi Zafrani, the airline\u2019s vice president of commerce and sales.<\/p>\n

Lounges, Fares, and What Comes Next<\/p>\n

El Al is weighing a move from Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to the New Terminal One now under construction. The airline is also looking into opening King David Lounges in New York, Newark, Paris, London, and Bangkok. It closed its London lounge in 2019 and its JFK and Paris lounges in 2022.<\/p>\n

Flex fares are coming to premium and business class, matching what economy already offers, with inclusions like free changes and reduced-fee refunds. El Al says basic or lite fares are not under consideration on US routes in any cabin. A next-generation business class seat could debut with the 787-10, with deliveries expected between 2030 and 2032. Free Starlink WiFi starts rolling out on the fleet next year, and an upcoming app feature will let passengers volunteer for compensation when a flight is oversold.<\/p>\n

The new schedule takes effect in late March 2027. Tickets for the added flights and for Sukkos 2027 go on sale later this week.<\/p>\n
