The Legal 500 GC Powerlist highlights and recognises those who are influential and exemplary on a global scale, particularly the very best general counsels and senior in-house legal counsels, following a comprehensive research process conducted over many months.<\/p>\n
New Ross woman, Elaine Breen, who hails from Rosbercon, is the Head of Legal, Risk and Compliance for INDOS Financial (Ireland) Depositary Limited (INDOS), a JTC Group Company, regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland, and she has yet again been named on the list. <\/p>\n
Speaking about her continued success and being named on the Powerlist again, Ms Breen said: \u201cI am grateful to be included as JTC Group is committed to continually enhancing its services in Ireland, and this recognition is a testament to our team\u2019s dedication and ongoing progress in delivering high-quality professional services in such a prominent jurisdiction.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms Breen is a practicing solicitor with the Law Society of Ireland and she is also a qualified solicitor in England and Wales under the Solicitors Regulation Authority. In addition to her current role with INDOS, Ms Breen is the Chairperson of the Board of Management for her former secondary school, Our Lady of Lourdes, in Rosbercon, since 2022. Ms Breen is also furthering her own studies, as she is currently undertaking a Doctorate in Law.<\/p>\n
In her spare time, Ms Breen volunteers as an assessor for the Good Governance Awards for the not-for-profit sector, which is an initiative that recognises and encourages adherence to good governance practice by the non-profits in Ireland. She has also been an active member of the judging panel for various career awards such as Early Irish Career Awards and the Global Women in Compliance Awards.<\/p>\n
Ms Breen said celebrating with, and being surrounded by, her fellow recipients of the Powerlist which was hosted in the offices of Matheson LLP, was \u201ca thoroughly enjoyable evening\u201d.<\/p>\n
