The audio was rediscovered during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-features\/elvis-movie-baz-lurhmann-king-rock-concerts-1235288535\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Luhrmann\u2019s research for his 2022 hit,\u00a0Elvis<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tEPiC\u00a0marks Luhrmann\u2019s second major project centered on the King of Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll, following\u00a0Elvis,\u00a0which grossed $300 million globally earned\u00a0eight Academy Award nominations \u2014 including a nom for best actor for star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/austin-butler\/\" id=\"auto-tag_austin-butler_1\" data-tag=\"austin-butler\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Austin Butler<\/a> \u2014 won multiple BAFTA\u2019s and Golden Globes, including wins for Butler.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cFrom the first day my editor, Jonathan Redmond, and I encountered this rare and never-before-seen footage of Elvis almost 8 years ago, it has been our mission that Elvis should finally fulfil his unrealised dream to tour around the world,\u201d Luhrmann said in a statement, along with thanking Neon and Universal. \u201cWe created an experience that is not just a documentary and not just a concert film; it\u2019s EPiC. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAdded Colin Smeeton, President, Authentic Studios, \u201cWhen we started this project with Sony Music Vision and Bazmark, Baz set out to reimagine how audiences would experience Elvis\u2014an ambition he has fully delivered on.
