So when Polestar launched the Polestar 4, our test car this week, without one, I\u2019ll admit I was briefly confused. This isn\u2019t a builder\u2019s Transit, after all, it\u2019s a premium coupe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom0 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">The official line is that ditching the rear glass improves head room, keeps passengers comfortable and enhances the car\u2019s aerodynamics. In its place, you get a wide-angle camera feed where the rear-view mirror used to be. Polestar reckons this provides \u201ca wider, unobstructed rearward view\u201d. In reality, it doesn\u2019t reflect the world as a mirror does, so, like a van driver, you\u2019ll end up relying almost entirely on the door mirrors. At which point, you might as well start delivering parcels. Step inside and things improve.
