Celebrating agri-food, drink and tourism hospitality businesses across Ireland, the Good Food Ireland\u00ae Awards 2025, in association with FBD Insurance, received a record number of nominations ahead of the organisation\u2019s 20th year, which is coming up in 2026.<\/p>\n
The following Cork businesses have been shortlisted: Hayfield Manor \u2013 5 Star Hotel of the Year, Tom Durcan Meats \u2013 Meat Producer of the Year, K O’Connell Fish Merchants \u2013 Fish & Seafood Producer of the Year, Maryborough Hotel \u2013 4 Star Hotel of the Year, Ballymaloe Cookery School, Organic Farm & Gardens \u2013 Food Tourism Experience of the Year and Ballymaloe House Hotel \u2013 Culinary Haven of the Year.<\/p>\n
Other Cork businesses to be shortlisted include: Koko Kinsale \u2013 Bakery & Chocolate Producer, Five Farms Irish Cream Liqueur \u2013 Drinks Producer of the Year, Rebel City Distillery \u2013 Drinks Producer of the Year, The Lifeboat Inn \u2013 Pub Restaurant of the Year, The Church Restaurant \u2013 Restaurant of the Year, Milleens Cheese \u2013 Dairy Producer of the Year, Urru Culinary Store \u2013 Shop of the Year, Kalbos Caf\u00e9 \u2013 Cafe of the Year and Ummera Smokehouse \u2013 Fish & Seafood Producer of the Year.<\/p>\n
The Good Food Ireland\u00ae Awards are judged by an independent panel of Irish and international experts through onsite mystery inspections and detailed assessments.<\/p>\n
These experts shortlist nominees and select winners based on strict criteria, which includes local sourcing, Irish provenance, and sustainability.<\/p>\n
Margaret Jeffares, Founder of Good Food Ireland\u00ae, said: \u201cOur awards are recognised as the pinnacle of excellence in food, drink and tourism experience, recognising those businesses who play a vital role in the entire Irish food ecosystem, one that fosters local pride and drives international tourism.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Jeffares continued: \u201cFrom food and drink producers and regenerative farmers to chefs and tourism destinations, we were delighted to have received an incredibly high calibre of entries from County Cork.<\/p>\n

In addition to the main categories, the awards feature the Food Lovers’ Choice Award, which is open to all agri-food, drink and tourism hospitality businesses, and voted for by the public.<\/p>\n
Five Food Lovers\u2019 Choice award winners will be presented on the night, featuring winners from the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland\u2019s Ancient East, Ireland\u2019s Hidden Heartland, Dublin and Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n
