“Extra” caught up with Michael Bubl\u00e9 and his “The Voice” Season 28 Battles advisor Kelsea Ballerini!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Michael said of reuniting with his former competitor Kelsea this season, \u201cWe finished taping\u00a0[Season]\u00a027\u2026\u00a0Two days later,\u00a0I\u00a0was calling, going,\u00a0\u2018Hi,\u00a0I\u00a0miss you so much.\u00a0What are you doing?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelsea added, \u201cI\u00a0was like, \u2018Hey,\u00a0I\u00a0know that you’re doing another season and if you wanted an advisor and you would maybe want me,\u00a0I\u00a0would really love to.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ballerini revealed what she loves about being an advisor, saying, \u201cIt’s really lovely because I get to be the cheerleader and be able to give whatever insight I can, but then also I don’t have to make the hard decisions, because that is the worst part of being a coach.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also praised Michael\u2019s team, saying,\u00a0\u201cYour team this year\u2026 really represents all kinds of music, all kinds of artists, all ages. Like, I really loved seeing that\u2026 and really being inspired by that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michael talked about the competition this season with Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire, noting that he thinks Snoop might be the one to beat!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bubl\u00e9 said, \u201cSnoop is such a sweetheart\u2026 Niall is so empathetic\u2026 and then there’s Reba… who is the coolest, honestly, like, she’s the gangster.\u201d<\/p>\n

There is some healthy competition!<\/p>\n

Michael revealed, \u201cNiall is so competitive, but he’s not secret about it\u2026 but so am I. I’m just not as public about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for who might take home the win, Bubl\u00e9 said, \u201cThere have been seasons where\u2026 we thought, we knew who might win,\u201d adding of this season, \u201cHonestly, I got to say, I think Snoop might be the one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michael and Kelsea also shared the most important advice they give to the artists.<\/p>\n

Ballerini explained, \u201cMy best advice is just for them to trust themselves. take what resonates and leave what doesn’t. And it’s not about him. It’s not about any of the other coaches. It’s about the artists being true to themselves and finding themselves through this process.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bubl\u00e9 agreed, \u201cMy advice is always the same with them. It’s that they have been given the greatest gift in the universe. When God gives you the gift to fall in love with music, there is no losing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelsea opened up about how the show feels like family, saying, \u201cIt does feel like some version of like a family to come back to\u2026 whether it’s between the coaches, between the artists, or between like everyone backstage, it really is about trying to uplift people and make it a really safe and healthy environment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michael added, \u201cIt\u2019s real,\u201d as he pointed out that many of the coaches have continued working with their artists after the show.<\/p>\n
