\u201cReal Housewives of Potomac\u201d star Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward \u201cEddie\u201d Osefo, were arrested for fraud, Page Six can confirm.<\/p>\n
The Carroll County Sheriff\u2019s Office in Westminster, Md., exclusively told Page Six that the married couple, who was taken into custody Thursday, would be released Friday after placing a $50,000 bond each.<\/p>\n
Wendy, 41, was charged with insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud and false statement to a police officer.<\/p>\n

She faces a total of 16 charges, including seven for felony false\/misleading info fraud in excess of $300, eight for misdemeanor on-false\/mislead info fraud in excess of $300 and a misdemeanor charge of a false statement to an officer, per the Carroll County Sheriff\u2019s Office public information officer.<\/p>\n
Eddie, meanwhile, faces a total of 18 charges, including nine for felony false\/misleading info fraud in excess of $300, eight for misdemeanor on-false\/mislead info fraud in excess of $300 and a misdemeanor charge for allegedly making a false statement to an officer.<\/p>\n
The charges stem from a burglary the couple reported in April 2024<\/a>, in which Wendy claimed several of her designer bags and jewelry were stolen while they were on vacation in Jamaica.<\/p>\n However, per docs obtained by Us Weekly<\/a> Friday, authorities have cast doubt on the validity of the theft. <\/p>\n The couple faces 15 and 18 charges, respectively. wendyosefo\/Instagram<\/p>\n They were released on a $50,000 bond each on Friday, a police spokesperson exclusively told Page Six. wendyosefo\/Instagram<\/p>\n Investigators explained in the filing that \u201cto go in or out of\u201d a particular window at the Osefos\u2019 home \u201cone has to step on the toilet,\u201d but Sheriff\u2019s office personnel found the toilet lid was down with \u201cno debris on it.\u201d<\/p>\n They also pointed out that the couple had an ADT home security system and a Ring camera. <\/p>\n \u201cThe Osefos activated the ADT alarm system upon leaving for vacation,\u201d the court docs state. \u201cDuring the time they were away, there was no motion detected inside the residence.
