Actor Kavya Madhavan has addressed widespread speculation that she was forced to step away from the film industry after her marriage due to her husband, actor Dileep. In a recently emerged video, Kavya revealed that it was entirely her choice to focus on family life.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis was a function Dileep Ettan was supposed to attend, but he had to leave for the UK unexpectedly. He told me that Hari Ettan is very dear to him and that this event could not be missed, so at least I should go. That\u2019s why I\u2019m here today. It wasn\u2019t Dileep Ettan who confined me at home. <\/p>\n
\u201cThat was my own decision. I wanted to experience this phase of life, taking care of my daughter. That\u2019s why I took a break. I wish peace and joy to everyone and once again convey my gratitude for allowing me to attend this function,\u201d Kavya said.<\/p>\n
Kavya\u2019s remarks break her long silence in response to social media speculation suggesting that Dileep was preventing her from acting in films after their marriage. Her statement, along with a video of her speech, is now circulating widely on fan pages.<\/p>\n

Kavya and Dileep married on November 25, 2016, a union that surprised fans and the film industry alike. Her last release before marriage was Pinneyum, directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan, which hit theatres just before the wedding. Since then, Kavya has stayed away from films, and fans are now eagerly asking about her potential comeback to the silver screen.<\/p>\n
