Gyms and fitness memberships tend to code as Merchant Category Code (MCC) 7997. A few cards specifically support this MCC:<\/p>\n

Cards for general spending<\/p>\n

Aside from the cards above, you should also be able to count on cards for general spending. <\/p>\n

Make sure you meet the requirements in order to get the earn rate. For instance, Citi SMRT and DBS Woman\u2019s World Mastercard require your gym membership to be paid online.<\/p>\n

Note that while UOB Preferred Platinum Visa should have no issue getting 4 miles per dollar via mobile contactless payments at gyms, check that your gym\u2019s MCC falls under its list of eligible transactions<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Different gyms can have different MCCs, and some of their recurring transactions may not code as online transactions. <\/p>\n
