<\/p>\nIn Kilkenny, a man in his 40s died following a collision involving three cars in Templemartin on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
The crash, which took place on the N10 road, was reported just after 4.30pm. The driver and sole occupant of one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
A man and a woman travelling in the second car were taken to St Luke\u2019s Hospital in Kilkenny. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.<\/p>\n

The occupants of the third car did not require immediate hospital treatment.<\/p>\n
The scene was attended by garda\u00ed and emergency services, and the local coroner has been notified.<\/p>\n
A full forensic investigation of the scene is set to be carried out by garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
The N10 was closed in both directions from the junction at exit 8 of the M9 to the Hebron Road roundabout, with local diversions in place.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who was travelling on the N10 at Templemartin around the time of the collision to contact them.<\/p>\n
Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) from that section of road during the relevant period are also asked to make it available to investigating officers.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in Cork. a young man aged in his late teens died following a single-vehicle collision in Co Cork on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
The incident took place at Scarteen Lower in Newmarket late on Saturday, shortly after 11.20pm.<\/p>\n
The vehicle involved in the incident left the road and collided with a ditch. The driver was fatally injured and a male passenger aged in his teens was uninjured.<\/p>\n
The body of the deceased has been removed to the mortuary in Cork University Hospital where a postmortem is due to take place.<\/p>\n
A full forensic investigation of the scene will be carried out garda\u00ed. The road is currently closed with local diversions in place.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed at Mallow garda station are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area at the time of the collision to contact them.<\/p>\n
