Whilst slow speeds can often stem from your internet supplier or an outdated package, the household objects surrounding your router could also impact your internet connection.<\/p>\n
According to technology<\/a> specialists, where you position your router can determine whether you enjoy seamless online browsing or endure endless buffering, regardless of whether you’re watching films, gaming, or working remotely.<\/p>\n Audio Technica experts have now warned that placing devices such as Bluetooth speakers too near your router could prove problematic, as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals might clash with one another.<\/p>\n Join the Manchester Evening News WhatsApp group HERE<\/a><\/p>\n This occurs because Bluetooth gadgets and Wi-Fi routers operate on comparable radio frequencies.<\/p>\n When numerous devices vie for the same signal area, it can generate a sort of digital gridlock, which may then decelerate your internet, reports the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n Their support page clarified: “Many Wi-Fi routers transmit on multiple channels simultaneously, and if there are excessive Wi-Fi signals in close proximity taking up most of the spectrum, your Bluetooth devices may not have any open spectrum to frequency hop to.<\/p>\n “This is a common cause of Bluetooth interference. Moving your Bluetooth devices away from Wi-Fi signals will help maximise the performance.”<\/p>\n Before considering a switch of providers or paying for a speedier broadband, you could experiment with relocating your router to a more central, open area in your home, ideally away from the kitchen or any thick walls that might obstruct the signal.<\/p>\n Interestingly, it’s not only Bluetooth devices that can cause issues.
