Given she starred alongside her daughter Gaia Wise<\/a> in her newest film Dead Of Winter, it’s no surprise that Emma Thompson<\/a> made the UK premiere of her latest role a family affair.<\/p>\n

The actress, 66, was joined by her daughter, 25, for the screening at London’s\u00a0Picturehouse Central, as well as her husband Greg Wise<\/a>, 59, and her mother Phyllida Law.<\/p>\n

Posing for snaps together at the premiere, Emma opted for an eye-catching white three-piece suit covered with green embroidery, while Gaia slipped into an elegant black strapless dress.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Greg, who has been married to Emma for 20 years, showed off his own snazzy sense of style in an eye-catching printed zipped jacket.<\/p>\n

Phyllida, 93, herself an actress who has starred in a string of film and TV roles including Much Ado About Nothing with her daughter, arrived on the premiere’s blue carpet in a wheelchair.<\/p>\n

Gaia plays the younger version of Emma’s role, portraying the character’s journey from a person who experienced a rich and happy life, through trauma, to becoming someone capable and willing to sacrifice.<\/p>\n

The film explores the darker side of human nature and revenge narratives, but also highlights the heroine’s resilience and strength.<\/p>\n

Gaia’s father Greg is Dame Emma’s second husband, former Strictly star and Walking On Sunshine actor.<\/p>\n

Emma has been happily married to her second husband Greg for 20 years.<\/p>\n

Gaia made her acting debut in the BBC series Silent Witness – where she played university student Jo Reynolds whose mother, the controversial health secretary, is assassinated \u2013 sparking the interest of forensic pathologists.<\/p>\n

Last year she landed her first big break by starring in the anime feature film\u00a0The Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim.<\/p>\n

In 2021, Gaia detailed her three-year battle with anorexia – and credited her parents for saving her life by staging an emergency intervention.<\/p>\n

Former Sky Sports News presenter Charlotte Jackson showed off her svelte physique in a form-fitting black gown with a thigh-high split<\/p>\n

She developed anorexia aged 16 which left her so thin she was unable to even sit on a chair without it being painful. She was later admitted to rehab in 2017.<\/p>\n

She spoke out about her illness for the first time with The Sun on Sunday, saying: ‘Anorexia makes you really good at gaslighting people, making it sound like they’re insane. My parents would say, ‘Gaia, we heard you working out at 3am.’ And I’d say, ‘No you didn’t, it was just the house moving. I was asleep.”<\/p>\n

Gaia spoke of how Greg, Emma, her family, including brother Tindy and best friend gathered together for an intervention, with Gaia agreeing to a three-month rehab stint after Greg said: ‘I don’t know where my child is any more.’<\/p>\n

Adding that it was a ‘kick in the teeth’ she added: ‘I had to listen to the people I loved most in the world who, at the time, I’d really forgotten about, tell me what I was doing.’<\/p>\n

She said: ‘That’s when I said I’d go to rehab. I went on December 29, 2017, and stayed for three months. Since then I’ve had a lot of therapy \u2014 and I’ll always be grateful for that, because it saved my life.’<\/p>\n

Anorexia is a serious mental illness where a person restricts their food intake, which often causes them to be severely underweight. Many also exercise excessively.<\/p>\n

Some sufferers may experience periods of bingeing, followed by purging. Sufferers often have a distorted view of themselves and think they are larger than they really are.<\/p>\n
