And 247.5 billion euros, or 70 percent, of that was generated by online marketplaces.<\/p>\n<p>These data come from the sixth edition of the \u201cTOP 100 Cross-Border Marketplaces Europe\u201d report from Cross-Border Commerce Europe. Last year, online marketplaces generated 225 billion euros, or <a href=\"https:\/\/ecommercenews.eu\/marketplaces-generate-69-of-european-cross-border-sales\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">69 percent<\/a> of the total <a href=\"https:\/\/ecommercenews.eu\/cross-border-ecommerce-europe\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">online cross-border revenue<\/a>. At that time, the market was worth 326 billion euros.<\/p>\n<p>Top 10 cross-border marketplaces<\/p>\n<p>The report has also released a top 10 of cross-border marketplaces. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbcommerce.eu\/blog\/2025\/10\/16\/sixth-edition-of-the-top-100-cross-border-marketplaces-europe-report-european-cross-border-e-commerce-reaches-new-heights\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noopener nofollow\">list<\/a> is as follows:<\/p>\n<p>1Amazon2Temu3eBay4AliExpress5Etsy6Vinted7OLX8Zalando9Decathlon10Shein<\/p>\n<p>Top 100 marketplaces generate 216.8 billion euros<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, prominent online platforms like Amazon and eBay still dominate the cross-border market. They capture more than half of the marketplace-driven turnover. The top 100 cross-border marketplaces also stand out, with a turnover of 216.82 billion euros. This is an increase of 10 percent, compared to a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Overall cross-border GMV is expected to increase in 2026<\/p>\n<p>Cross-Border Commerce Europe expects that the share of marketplaces in total ecommerce GMV will stay steady throughout 2026. This signals a potential market maturation. However, overall cross-border GMV is expected to rise.
