The claws are straight out at breakfast on The Traitors Ireland on RT\u00c9 1, and Traitor Katelyn is the main course.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s barely buttered her toast before the others start circling, muttering about how upset she got with Nick the night before.<\/p>\n

Model Oyin is keeping it cool, while Patrick explains his silence at last night\u2019s round table with all the gravitas of a fella revealing state secrets.<\/p>\n

This guy. It\u2019s like if Fr Stone came to stay in Slane, he\u2019s painful.<\/p>\n

Ben, meanwhile, tells us to camera: \u201cWe\u2019re doing terrible, but the mood is good.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s possibly the most Irish pep talk ever.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s Joanne\u2019s birthday and Traitor Eamon is clapping like a seal that\u2019s been promised extra mackerel, bellowing the song louder than the rest. Hmm, too much, dude, calm it down.<\/p>\n

The focus shifts to Katelyn and Paudie. Christine tries to defend Paudie with a well-meaning but wildly agist: \u201cSure, God love him.\u201d<\/p>\n

She can\u2019t see past the little grandpa pot belly and round neck sweaters. At your peril, Christine.<\/p>\n

\"John,John, a 53-year-old firefighter from Cork, is the latest Faithful to be murdered.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Katelyn is sweating buckets when Jo lets slip that everyone is talking about her. She\u2019s definitely rattled.<\/p>\n

Then comes the gut punch: Andrew and Vanessa stroll into breakfast \u2026 but John doesn\u2019t. Murdered in the night, so he was.<\/p>\n

Eamon, to camera, declares it his \u201cfavourite murder so far,\u201d like he\u2019s auditioning for a pantomime villain. Mark my words, we\u2019ll see that fella in the Gaiety come Christmas. Oh yes, we will!<\/p>\n

John takes it on the chin, as magnanimous in defeat as you can be when the game chucks you out twice.<\/p>\n

Christine, true to form, makes it all about the county. \u201cThey got rid of another Cork person,\u201d she fumes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think that\u2019s a pattern,\u201d says Kelley gently and sensibly, spoken like a right non-rebel.<\/p>\n

Christine claims the team needed John\u2019s \u201cstrength, mindset, and skills\u201d.<\/p>\n

We all know what she really means: His fireman\u2019s pole. Easy there, tiger.<\/p>\n

Fashion interlude, hurray!<\/p>\n

Siobh\u00e1n sweeps in looking like she\u2019s en route to a 1992 rave at Sir Henry\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Remember when those patterned PJs were all the rage? Amy calls it an outfit. I call it iconic. Those glasses! Let\u2019s just canonise her and get it over with, ok?<\/p>\n

She mourns: \u201cAh, poor Johnny, we hardly knew ya.\u201d She then scolds the group for scoffing the breakfast spread as if she\u2019s the one slaving over the sausages.<\/p>\n

\"TheThe Faithfuls and Traitors trudge out into the rain to find old-fashioned school desks in the middle of a field. Siobh\u00e1n does a roll call of murdered players, which doesn\u2019t go down too well with the gang scrunched into the desks in the spitting rain.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Eamon\u2019s decided to have a full-on Traitors chat with Paudie and Katelyn in the hall. He\u2019s convinced he\u2019s being subtle, but he reminds me of Krusty the Clown when he\u2019s asked why he voted for Mr Burns\u2019s movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s just say it moved me …. TO A BIGGER HOUSE. Oops, I said the quiet part loud and the loud part quiet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even Katelyn is rolling her eyes. \u201cThe two of them are as thick as two bulls in the same field,\u201d she snipes.<\/p>\n

The mission is peak Irish farce. The Faithfuls and Traitors trudge out into the rain to find old-fashioned school desks in the middle of a field. Siobh\u00e1n does a roll call of murdered players, which doesn\u2019t go down too well with the gang scrunched into the desks in the spitting rain.<\/p>\n

The task? Row rafts across a river, answer maths questions, crack a code, or something.<\/p>\n

Is there nothing to be said for a nice game of Snap in the cosy castle, lads?<\/p>\n

Anyway, the twist is that the Traitors already know the code.<\/p>\n

Chaos ensues. Faye\u2019s team spins in circles like a Skibbereen row boat team with only one O\u2019Donovan brother.<\/p>\n

Ben\u2019s team-mates manage to position themselves perfectly inside it, before realising they have to actually carry it to the water. Arf.<\/p>\n

But maths proves to be the real assassin: \u201cI\u2019m a fucking idiot,\u201d Faye admits. \u201cDo we have a brain cell between us? Absolutely not.\u201d<\/p>\n

Oh, fabulous Faye, you\u2019re definitely one of my favourite Faithfuls. Never change.<\/p>\n

\"EamonEamon is banished from the castle, leaving to the sounds of the Faithfuls going wild with relief that they finally caught a Traitor.<\/p>\n

Back at the castle, Paudie goes in for the kill and gets Eamon squirming. The round table is the best yet, and not just because Siobh\u00e1n is dressed like a scout leader.<\/p>\n

Christine (still rocking her post-river Monica-in-Jamaica hair) calls out Katelyn. Eamon is scrambling. I must admit it\u2019s very satisfying to see him under pressure. Oyin, whose wig just might have psychic powers, cuts through all the noise: \u201cIs this a fight among Traitors?\u201d Crown her President immediately.<\/p>\n

And then \u2014 oh happy day! Oh glory be! Eamon is voted out. He launches into a farewell speech worthy of the Abbey, and the crowd goes wild. Finally, the Faithfuls actually get one right.<\/p>\n

Andrew almost leaps into Daddy Paudie\u2019s arms before remembering to play it cool.<\/p>\n

The remaining Traitors, Paudie and Katelyn, must decide: Murder or recruit? Paudie fancies Nick or Andrew, Katelyn\u2019s set on Nick. Will he accept? We\u2019ll have to wait and see.<\/p>\n
