\n Sheila Carr, from Leominster, has pledged all profits from her book, April and her Adventures, to Age UK Wyvern.\n<\/p>\n
\n The book follows the story of April, a little girl who relies on her dog for confidence.\n<\/p>\n
\n This was a particularly difficult process for Ms Carr, as she has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, which impacts her ability to move.\n<\/p>\n
\n She said: “I have to double tap every letter on my tablet in order to type.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It\u2019s a long process and it\u2019s frustrating as sometimes I can\u2019t get down my thoughts quickly enough.”\n<\/p>\n
\n “I was so happy to finish it, and I thought to myself, ‘Wow, I\u2019ve really done it'”.\n<\/p>\n
\n She also volunteers for the charity, ringing an older person on a weekly basis for a friendly chat.\n<\/p>\n
\n Malcolm Craig, from Age UK, said: “We can\u2019t thank Sheila enough.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Not only has she raised much-needed funds through her book, but she also volunteers for our befriending scheme, ringing an older person on a weekly basis for a friendly chat.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Our organisation couldn\u2019t run without the invaluable support of people like Sheila.”\n<\/p>\n
