Restaurants, such as Chipotle, that have touted their embrace of novel technology have generally focused on making back-of-house operations more efficient.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_11-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> Order boards are an exception to keeping technology in the back of the house. The company is renovating other locations by adding rugs and drapes, Niccol said, and it&#8217;s considering plants. Starbucks wants drive-thru and grab-and-go customers thinking that next time, they should &#8220;grab a seat,&#8221; Niccol said.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_15-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> Teens are an obvious target audience for the company, Niccol said.
