A 14-year-old singer from Shanakiel is on her way to representing Ireland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025.<\/p>\n
Following a nationwide talent search and a televised competition, Lottie O\u2019Driscoll-Murray has been chosen to represent Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Tbilisi, Georgia.<\/p>\n
Lottie will perform the brand-new Irish language ballad \u2018R\u00fain\u2019 (Secrets) live from Tbilisi, Georgia, on Saturday, December 13, competing against entries from 17 other countries, including Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, and reigning champions Georgia.<\/p>\n
Lottie secured her place on the international stage after emerging victorious in the final of TG4\u2019s five-part Junior Eurovision \u00c9ire series, which saw 10 finalists selected from hundreds of young performers across Ireland.<\/p>\n
Eurovision legend Niamh Kavanagh was on the judging panel that made the crucial decision to put Lottie through to the studio heats, with Linda Martin casting one of the deciding votes to secure Lottie\u2019s place in Junior Eurovision history.<\/p>\n
Lottie\u2019s mother Celine told The Echo she was over the moon at Lottie\u2019s win.<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI\u2019m so proud of Lottie, she has such strength and determination,\u201d she said. \u201cLottie stuck with her dream and she went for it, and we could not be more proud of her.\u201d\u00a0\n <\/p>\n
She added that the support Lottie has received locally has been \u201cunreal\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are grateful for all the support from the people of Cork, who have been behind Lottie since day one, following and sharing videos and tuning in every week.\u201d<\/p>\n
Voting for this year\u2019s Junior Eurovision is open worldwide through JESC.TV, and unlike the senior competition, fans are allowed to vote for their own country. With all of Cork already behind Lottie, she will be hoping now for the support of the whole country as well.<\/p>\n
