Pop artist Joe Jonas has shared his thoughts on his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift\u2019s new \u201cLife of a Showgirl\u201d album. The singer from the popular boy band The Jonas Brothers, who revealed their setlist for their 2025 tour<\/a>, had a short romance with Swift in 2008, but he hasn\u2019t mentioned their brief fling often in recent years. So it\u2019s rare that Jonas has given his take on Swift\u2019s twelfth studio album, released on October 3, which has received mixed reviews from critics.<\/p>\n

Jonas says \u201ceveryone\u2019s got an opinion\u201d about Swift\u2019s new album<\/p>\n

Jonas<\/a> admits that he has heard \u201csome\u201d of Swift\u2019s \u201cLife of a Showgirl\u201d album and has praised her latest album in a lengthy interview with Esquire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think she\u2019s obviously the biggest artist out there,\u201d he said, \u201cand I think it\u2019s good. Everyone\u2019s got an opinion about it, but from what I\u2019ve heard, there are some catchy melodies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jonas and Swift dated for a few months in 2008, with her appearing on stage with the Jonas Brothers during their Burnin\u2019 Up tour. Their breakup became highly public, though, after Swift shared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that Jonas had called their relationship off during a 25-second call. Both artists then wrote a slew of breakup songs inspired by their rocky relationship. But in recent years the pair have become friends again, having amicable conversations at award shows and showing support for one another.<\/p>\n

That said, Swift helped Sophie Turner, who divorced Jonas in September 2024 after about eight years of marriage. At the time of the divorce, Turner and her daughters Willa and Delphine stayed at Swift\u2019s home in New York City. The actress shared in British Vogue<\/a> that she has \u201cnever been more grateful to anyone than I am for [Swift] because she took my children and me and provided us with a home and a safe space.\u201d<\/p>\n
