Dakota Johnson<\/a> would not like a date to walk a mile in these.<\/p>\n

The Materialists star revealed her dating red flag, and it has a lot to do with a particular style of footwear.<\/p>\n

\u201cMen who wear flip flops,\u201d Dakota told Vogue<\/a> during the Oct. 21 Questions from Everywhere digital series. \u201cRun.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also admitted that she\u2019s also not a fan of cologne or scents on anyone for that matter.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I don\u2019t love it,\u201d the Madame Web actress explained. \u201cI have a really specific olfactory situation happening for me with men and women and everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dakota isn\u2019t shy when it comes to sharing the dos and don\u2019ts in relationships. The Social Network star\u2014whose eight-year relationship with <\/a>Chris Martin<\/a> ended in July<\/a>\u2014previously shared what she\u2019s absolutely not looking for<\/a> in a partner.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust like, not an a–hole,\u201d she said during a July 9 interview on Today, with her Materialists costar Chris Evans, who is married to Alba Baptista, quickly chiming in, \u201cThat\u2019s concise. There it is. Nail on the head.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dakota\u2019s timely response came just days after multiple outlets reported the end of her relationship with the Coldplay frontman\u2014who shares kids Apple Martin, 21, and Moses Martin, 19, with ex Gwyneth Paltrow.<\/p>\n

Though in the year ahead of their breakup, the duo, who began dating in 2017, had faced speculation they were going their separate ways. In August 2024, a rep for the couple shut down speculations of a breakup, telling E! News at the time, \u201cNot true,\u201d adding, \u201cthey are happily together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prior to the split, Dakota offered rare insight into her dating life\u2014or lack thereof.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never dated anybody. I\u2019ve had boyfriends, but I have never been on a dating app,\u201d Dakota told Elle<\/a> in May. \u201cI just don\u2019t know that world. So, it was so interesting and intriguing. It\u2019s the most beautiful side of humanity, but it can also be the most ugly. Loving someone is the most scary and beautiful thing you can do.\u201d<\/p>\n

In perhaps one of her most infamous TV moments<\/a>, Dakota Johnson<\/a> called out Ellen DeGeneres<\/a> for not attending her 30th birthday party. <\/p>\n

After the comedian joked on a 2019 episode of her eponymous talk show that she “wasn’t invited,” Dakota dryly retorted, “Actually, no\u2014that’s not the truth, Ellen<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

The actress proceeded to point out that Ellen gave her “a bunch of s–t” the last time she was on the show about not being invited, so Dakota made sure she was included on the guest list this time around.<\/p>\n

“I didn’t even know you liked me,” Dakota told Ellen. “I did invite you, but you didn’t come<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

When asked about the viral Ellen interview four years later, Dakota simply told L’Officiel<\/a>, “It will haunt me.”<\/p>\n

Dakota got very candid about her experience filming the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise<\/a> years after its final movie, revealing that author E.L. James<\/a> “had a lot of creative control” and “demanded that certain things happen.”<\/p>\n

“There were parts of the books that just wouldn’t work in a movie, like the inner monologue, which was at times incredibly cheesy,” she told Vanity Fair in 2022<\/a>, explaining how the writer often clashed with the studio and the director. “It was like mayhem all the time.”<\/p>\n

In fact, Dakota believes no one would’ve signed onto the project if they “had known at the time that’s what it was going to be like.”<\/p>\n

As she noted, “It would’ve been like, ‘Oh, this is psychotic.'”<\/p>\n

But that was what happened to Dakota after her 2020 house tour with Architectural Digest, during which she pointed to a bowl of limes in her kitchen and raved, “I love limes. I love them so much. However, Dakota later admitted that it was all “set dressing.”<\/p>\n

“I’m actually allergic to limes,” she confessed during a 2021 appearance on The Tonight Show<\/a>. “So, I lied.”<\/p>\n

When the first trailer of <\/a>Madame Web<\/a> dropped in November 2023, the internet became fascinated with Dakota’s monotonous delivery of the line: “He was in the Amazon with my mom when she was researching spiders right before she died.”<\/p>\n

Though the phrase quickly became a meme across the web, it failed to ensnare Dakota’s attention\u2014subsequently leading to another meme-able moment when she later expressed her confusion over its popularity.<\/p>\n

“Why did that go viral?” she stoically asked an interviewer who mentioned the meme. “I have no idea what that’s about.”<\/p>\n

Dakota added of her viral line, “That seems like a basic storyline to me.”<\/p>\n

Nope on the Nepo Baby Debate<\/p>\n
