Chris Evans is unlocking a new chapter in his life — girl dad!
A source tells PEOPLE that the Captain America star, 44, is already loving his newest title after welcoming his baby daughter Alma Grace on Oct. 24 with wife Alba Baptista, 28.
“Chris is completely in awe of his daughter,” the insider tells PEOPLE. “He’s been soaking in every quiet moment and couldn’t be more proud to be a girl dad.”
A rep for Evans did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Shortly after news broke that Evans and Baptista had welcomed their first baby together, a source confirmed to PEOPLE the name the couple had chosen for their little one.
The Borderline actress and the Knives Out star named the little one Alma Grace Baptista Evans, a source confirmed to PEOPLE. “They’re enjoying their privacy and these special first few days as a family with their baby,” added the insider.
Baptista and Evans tied the knot in September 2023 during a ceremony at a private estate in Cape Cod, Mass., a source told PEOPLE at the time. Around that time, Evans also opened up to PEOPLE about his desire to settle down and start a family.
“That’s absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family,” Evans said.
“When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared,” added the actor.

That same month, another source told PEOPLE that Evans “got serious very quickly” after meeting the actress for the first time in Europe. “He kept saying he knew she was the one.”
“He has been ready to settle down for a while,” the insider added. “He can’t wait to have a family. He was just waiting for the right girl.”
A little over a year later, Evans spoke with Access Hollywood at the premiere of his movie Red One and was asked if he thinks he’ll be a “superhero” dad one day, like his costar Dwayne Johnson’s character.
“Yeah, I hope so. Yeah, absolutely,” Evans responded. “The title of dad is an exciting one.”
